Safety Officer Job Description:

Safety officer jobs starts with conducting or coordination of tool box talks.They should make sure if all the employee are in compliance with the mandatory personal protective equipment.

Safety officer roles and responsibilities are should ensure that all the non routine and dangerous jobs are operating under the valid permit to work systems Safety officer should also co-ordinate for the effective health and safety training to different categories of people according to their job profile Safety officer main responsibilities will include the development of positive health and safety culture in the organisation.

To achieve a positive health and safety culture safety officer should get a good support from the management and good cooperation from the work force

Duties of safety officer :

1. To coordinate and involve in the development of effective health and safety policy
2. To involve in the development of risk assessment and safe system of work
3. To develop and update the emergency procedures and to conduct regular mock drill
4. To provide convincing argument to the management to allot necessary resources to the health and safety
5. To involve in day to day activities and to take required actions

Safety Engineer Responsibilities :

• Safety engineer has to manage the safety officers in their respective departments
• They should involve in hazop study
• Safety engineer have to collect all the data from the safety officer and compile them and to prepare a consolidated report
• Safety engineer has to co-ordinate directly with the management regarding any critical health and safety issues
• Safety engineer should take an active part in the development of behavior based safety and take an active participation in the safety committee meetings
