Duties and Responsibilities of Turning Setter Cum Operator :
| Knowledge of safe working practices of CNC turning procedures. Knowledge of the functionality of various types of CNC machines. Knowledge of the common terminology used, and the uses and application of CNC turning machines Understanding of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and extracting information. Knowledge of the main features and working parts of a CNC machine, sequences and procedures followed Working. knowledge of the various methods, equipment, material and devices used in turning operations. Knowledge of the range of work holding devices, cutting tools, tool holding devices, pre-set tooling and factors determining selection and use of materials. Knowledge of checking quality and produce components standards, range of material and raw material form/shape Knowledge of the problems that can occur while using CNC machines. Knowledge of the health, safety and environmental regulations, hazards associated and personal protective equipment required for operating CNC lathe machines |
